Is there a minimum number of hours required?

Yes — all Wags of Love services require a minimum of three (3) hours. Our work goes far beyond a quick photo moment; we approach every wedding with the same level of meticulous planning, care, and attention to detail, ensuring your dog is comfortable, well-cared-for, and seamlessly included from start to finish — regardless of service length.

When should we book Wags of Love services?

We recommend booking your dog wedding attendant as soon as you decide you want your dog included in your wedding day. Popular wedding months — especially May–June and September–October — tend to book quickly, and while Wags of Love is a larger team, we can only accommodate a limited number of weddings per day and per weekend. Booking in advance allows us ample time to thoughtfully plan logistics, coordinate with your timeline, and create the best experience for your dog. If you’re just now finding us, don’t worry — we’re always happy to try to accommodate last-minute requests when possible. However, the sooner you book, the more peace of mind you’ll have knowing your date is secured and your best friend can be by your side.

Wags of Love proudly services weddings throughout Chicago, Milwaukee, and all areas in between — and beyond. We are always open to traveling outside of our primary service area when possible. If your wedding is located elsewhere, we’re also happy to help refer you to a trusted dog wedding attendant company within your area. Yes — absolutely. Wags of Love is experienced in accommodating weddings with multiple dogs. We carefully pair your dogs with the appropriate number of professional attendants to ensure safe, attentive handling at all times. For two dogs, we require two dedicated leads so our team can work together and properly manage the workload. While our equipment can accommodate multiple dogs when appropriate, our approach is always tailored to your dogs’ needs, personalities, and the services booked — ensuring each dog receives the same level of care, control, and attention throughout your wedding day.

We welcome weddings of every race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, and love style, because we believe love is love and everyone deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and safe on their wedding day. We also care for dogs of all breeds, with no restrictions.

We provide dog attendant services for all types of weddings, including ceremonies only, full-day celebrations, elopements, outdoor weddings, and destination weekends. All services have a three-hour minimum to allow us to thoughtfully care for your dog, coordinate with your wedding timeline, and ensure they are comfortable, well-supported, and seamlessly included throughout your special day.

What safety measures do you have in place on wedding days?

At Wags of Love, your dog’s safety and well-being are always our top priority. We provide continuous supervision, closely monitor stress cues, and manage potty breaks and hydration throughout the day. We also create a designated safe space for your dog to decompress and enjoy quiet time away from the crowd — even if that means utilizing our vehicle when needed. For secure handling, we use hands-free safety harnesses that lock your dog’s leash into our waist, allowing us to work efficiently while keeping them safely by our side. Through our detailed pre-wedding planning calls, we gather all necessary information to arrive fully prepared, adapt seamlessly when plans change, and always advocate for your dog — never forcing them into moments or situations they’re uncomfortable with. Every measure we take is designed to keep your pup calm, comfortable, and protected, so you can celebrate with complete peace of mind.

It can be — weddings often involve large crowds, loud noises, unfamiliar environments, and changes in routine, all of which can be overwhelming for some dogs. Every dog is different, and stress levels depend on their temperament, training, and comfort in busy settings. At Wags of Love, we help manage overstimulation through thoughtful planning, realistic expectations, continuous supervision, and by providing quiet breaks in a designated safe space when needed. Is it stressful for dogs to attend weddings?

9 Do you charge for behind-the-ears or social media content of our dog?

There is no additional fee for behind-the-scenes photos or short-form content we capture of your dog on your wedding day. We create this content simply because we love showcasing the bond couples share with their four-legged best friends. After your wedding, we’ll always share a Google Drive folder with all of the behind-the-scenes photos and videos we captured from your dog’s perspective. While we love documenting these moments, our top priority is supporting your hired photographer and videographer and ensuring your dog’s care and experience always come first.

Can you provide a COI?

Yes — Wags of Love is fully insured and can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) upon request. We’re happy to work directly with you or your venue to supply any required documentation, ensuring a smooth and stress-free planning process.
